VA Announces 2022 Disability Compensation Rates

The VA has released disability compensation rates for 2022. Payments have increased 5.9%, the largest increase in 40 years.

You can use the compensation benefits rate tables to find the amount of your monthly payment. The VA bases your monthly payment amount on your disability rating and the number of dependent family members.

For example, in 2021, a veteran with a 60% rating with no dependents received $1,146.39.

In 2022, this payment increased to 1,214.03, an increase of 5.9%. This number reflects the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), provided each year by the Social Security Administration.
